Jefferson, OH. (June 10, 2025) –The Super Semi class just got a little bigger—and a lot more familiar.
Matthew Gabriel, grandson of longtime Super Semi puller Bob Lautanen, is officially joining the CS Pulling Promotions Super Semi Championship Series for 2025 with his very own truck. The machine is a Kenworth powered by Caterpillar, and it’ll hit the track under its new name: “Monkey Business.” Previously known as Shoot to Thrill, the truck has been fully rebranded and is ready to run with the best in the class.
Gabriel is no stranger to the scene—he drove his grandfather’s Grape Ape at several events last season and proved he could hold his own in the seat. Now in 2025, he’ll take the wheel full-time, expanding the Lautanen family effort to three trucks on the CS circuit: Moody Blue (driven by Jeff Lautanen), Grape Ape (Bob Lautanen), and the all-new Monkey Business.
The team’s season will kick off at none other than the Big Butler Fair in Prospect, Pennsylvania—a brand-new addition to the CS Pulling Promotions schedule. The event runs July 2nd and 3rd, with the Super Semis set to compete on Thursday night, July 3rd in what promises to be one of the most talked-about hooks of the summer.
