Standing Room Only Crowd Packs the Stands for Thursday Night Pull at the Big Butler Fair with CS Pulling Promotions

Prospect, PA. (July 4, 2025) – Night #2 of the Big Butler Fair Truck and Tractor Pull, presented by CS Pulling Promotions, brought a packed house and record numbers across nearly every class on Thursday evening. With perfect weather, a hard-charging track, and Dirt Vortex TV broadcasting the action live, it was another landmark evening for what is quickly becoming one of Pennsylvania’s premier pulling events.

Headlining the night were the Super Semi Trucks, where Jefferson, Ohio’s Bob Lautanen drove his fan-favorite “Grape Ape” to the win. His brother Jeff Lautanen followed closely in second with “Moody Blue,” while Matthew Gabriel rounded out the top three with the debut of the all-new “Monkey Business.” Joe Bonner and “Macksimus Prime I” were unable to get off the line due to mechanical issues, but Bonner has already confirmed he’ll be back at the next event looking to make a solid pass. The class featured a powerhouse lineup of top-tier machines, delivering the thunder fans came to see.

In the Pro Modified Trucks, Brad Berghoff took the win with “Attitude Adjuster II,” followed by his father Jerry Berghoff in “Attitude Adjuster Reloaded.” Mike Weakland rounded out the top three with the “Coalmine Express,” stepping in to drive in place of regular driver Todd Custer, who had prior engagements. Local favorite Eddie Zedreck thrilled fans with his blown alcohol machine “Thunder,” helping to put the Pro Modified class on the map at the Big Butler Fair.

The Open Street Diesel Trucks saw one of the largest turnouts in the history of the Big Butler Fair, with top-tier diesel competitors filling the pits and lighting up the track. Dan Snyder drove “Kamikaze” to the win in a razor-close finish over Travis Ritenour and Seth Cotton. Local standout Phil Ketzel finished just off the podium in fourth with “Money for Nothin.”

Limited Pro Tractors saw Gavin Stewart take the win in his John Deere 4320. Greg Ferringer followed closely with “Smokin’ John,” and Jim Swiontek in “Buck Up” secured a strong third-place finish in the highly competitive field.

In the Hot Rod V-8 Tractors, Jeremy Seibel of Clinton, PA powered “Leaded” to the top spot. The Roy family from Imperial, PA brought multiple machines to the field and claimed key positions in the top five.

Small Block Modified Trucks were led by Kip Riffe in “Half Breed,” with Chris Houllion taking second in “Stretch” and Paul Stillman earning third in “Playin’ Games.”

In Performance Street Trucks, Matt Moser and “White Whiskey” secured the win over Dave Millard’s “Redneck” and Justin Rhoades with “It’s Good to Have a Goal.”

CS Pulling Promotions would like to extend a special thank-you to the Big Butler Fair Board for an incredible evening, and to the track crew, whose hard work and attention to detail delivered an exceptional surface for competitors. Additional thanks to our member state, Western PA Tractor and Truck Pullers Inc., for producing Friday’s event and sanctioning several classes throughout the week.

The next stops on the CS Pulling Promotions tour will be the Lake County Fair in Painesville, Ohio and the Cattaraugus County Fair in Little Valley, New York—both promising more top-tier action as the 2025 season continues.
