Jefferson, OH (February 28, 2025) – The Ashtabula County Fair is set to bring top-tier truck and tractor pulling action to Jefferson, OH, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 7:00 PM, with CS Pulling Promotions leading the charge. This year’s pull promises a competitive lineup, a well-prepared track, and a show that will keep the crowd engaged from start to finish.

For the first time in years, county resident Calvin Brown Jr. will make his return to the track, piloting his "Buckeye Bowtie" 410 Super Stock Truck. A longtime competitor in the sport, Brown Jr.’s return is sure to excite local fans eager to see him back in action on his home track. The 410 Super Stock class will be co-sanctioned by Western PA Tractor and Truck Pullers, a member state of CS Pulling Promotions, further elevating the competition and bringing in top-tier talent from the region.
Bob Lautenan and Matthew Gabriel will also represent the county in the Super Semi class, bringing out the well-known "Grape Ape" Super Semi, which finished 4th in points during the 2024 season. Another local favorite, Jeff Lautenan, will take on the competition with his "Moody Blue" Peterbilt, which claimed runner-up honors in the 2024 points standings. Fans will have the opportunity to cheer on these hometown drivers as they battle for victory.
Another standout competitor from the county, John Janson, will be competing in the Light Limited Super Stock class with his "Barely Affordable" tractor. Janson competed at numerous CS Pulling Promotions events throughout the 2024 season and proved himself to be a formidable force in the division. His return to the Ashtabula County Fair brings another level of excitement to an already stacked lineup.
